Annual Pet Giving Tree – Launch november 23rd

It’s that time of year again and this year it is going to be even bigger and better! This year in addition to collecting gifts for the pets we will be raffling off a meet and greet with Miranda Lambert and two tickets to see her live at Bridgestone on January 24th!

For the past 6 years Noah’s Ark Society is making a difference in the lives of animals all across Middle Tennessee. We are non-profit foster-based volunteer run rescue and we specialize in rescuing the bottom 10% of ALL animals.

This year we are honoring our Elder Society and Gayle’s House. Our Elder Society program takes in all senior animals and finds them a furever foster, we then provide all medical and other needs for that animal for the rest of their life. Gayle’s House is our feline sanctuary that gives as an opportunity to vet, behavioral test, and treat all unknown issues before being placed into a foster family or forever home.

Our wish at Noah’s Ark Society is to make sure every animal has something under the tree that is just for them. The way we fulfill their needs is with you and the help of the community.

In order to donate you can:

  • Visit one of our two centers at 4012 Hillsboro Pike and see our Giving Trees. Bonus, you can shop for gifts in the stores as well!

THIS GIVING TUESDAY…  Gayle’s Place is grateful for you! – December 3rd, 2019

#GIVING TUESDAY is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world on December 3rd, 2019 and every day! It was created in 2012 as a simple idea; a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

OUR CAUSE…

“She lived alone, and she loved cats.” It’s a phrase that is said about many women…the cliché “cat lady.” Noah’s Ark Society has known many such ladies through the years, but there has been no story quite like Gayle’s. Gayle truly lived alone and loved cats, as she had no family nearby or friends who checked in on her at her home, where she cared for over 40 cats.

Gayle passed away very suddenly and the family was at a loss of how to care for all of those cats. At the suggestion of one of Gayle’s coworkers, they contacted Noah’s Ark Society. We did not know what we were getting into when we started this project. It was a massive commitment of time and money, resources we did not really have, as a small local rescue organization. What we did have was the continued use of Gayle’s house from her family, so we didn’t have to relocate or rehome every cat.  We also had the people to provide daily care. We have been able to come up with the resources for feeding and basic vetting of the cats, and we are slowly making progress in providing all the necessary veterinary care.

This year Noah’s Ark Society is raising funds in honor of Gayle’s Place, we have an ambitious goal of  $10.000. We would love to have you sponsor one of our Gayle’s Place felines for the year! We are in need of sponsors for vetting needs, monthly flea and tick medicine, and their monthly groceries. We are also raising funds for a TNR (trap, neuter, return) program for the remaining outside cats.

You can donate two ways:

1- Go to noahsarksociety.org/waystogive and donate directly on our website!

2 – Go to our Facebook fundraiser on December 3rd and Facebook is matching the first $7 MILLION donated on that day starting at 7AM Central! See Facebook button at bottom of email.

PAWS ON THE PAVEMENT

Paws On The Pavement is one of Noah’s Ark Society’s most exciting fundraising concepts! By partnering with local consignment boutiques, My Sister’s Closet & Free Beer Men’s Consignment, Noah’s Ark Society essentially sells designer clothing for dollar deals in a giant tent sale with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Noah’s Ark Society. Our Paws On The Pavement events also serve as some of our most popular adoption events often highlighting one or more animal in our care with a particularly compelling back story! While these fundraisers happen regularly, we like to treat them like pop-up sales around Nashville to keep them fresh and allow us to schedule around our animals’ needs! Make sure to follow us on Facebook as well as our email list to stay in the loop for our next “Paws On The Pavement” sale!
