Adoptable Dogs

Hi, I’m Buford, and I’m a full-blooded black and tan coonhound. I’m somewhere between 2 and 3 years old and I weight 70 pounds. My foster mom says that I’m very sweet and cuddly, but I also need a LOT of exercise, so I’m looking for a forever home where I can have room to run and play. I’m house-trained, great with kids, a great passenger in the car and– I don’t mean to brag or anything– but I already know how to sit and stay. And while I’m sad to leave my current home, I’m excited to see what might be around the corner!

Winslow – ADOPTED!

Hi, I’m Winslow, a very handsome, one year old shepherd mix who has been on kind of a long journey to find a forever home.

I’m  a  very playful and  social kind of guy. I love living with my foster family  and I great along great with their  dogs, and even made friends with their  cat! I absolutely love riding in the car (I promise I’m not a terrible backseat driver) and exploring new places. I will always fully support any decision to pull through the Starbuck drive thru – I love a good pupachino.  I am also great on the leash and  have been described as “a pleasure to walk.” I am gaining confidence every day doing regular things like running errands and exploring. I also like to sleep on the couch and I’m pretty low key in the house.

I have been working on crate training and keeping calm when exiting the house. I’m super smart and will work for food. Like seriously, I love treats – cheese and peanut butter are favorites. I’m always sure to be friendly with all the kids and adults I meet when I am out on a walk. I’m housebroken and know many commands. An active family that is interested in taking my training up to the next level would be ideal. I love to run and just can’t get enough time with a tennis ball. I’ve also been called “a world class snuggler” – and I take that honor very seriously.

So if you are ready to meet a super cool dude and help him on the final steps of that long journey home, I’m the one for you!

Kennedy — ADOPTED!!!!!

Hello there! I’m Kennedy, and I’m a labrador-sharpei pup looking for a family to take me home!Tug-of-war is my favorite game ever, but I also love to cuddle. I may the biggest and most talkative in my family, but I’m also the most loyal and protective. When my little brother had nightmares, I would go and lie next to him until he felt well enough to sleep! I’m sweet and not at all aggressive; like all my siblings, I’m happy around kids, adults and other dogs, but don’t have much experience around cats. Think about adding me to you family today!

Hunter — Coming Soon to the Ark!

My name is Hunter, and I’m a sharpei-labrador pup looking for a family of my own! I’m a wrinkly little ball of fun and sass, the most hard-headed of my siblings. As one of the more laid back of the bunch, I like to play outside and take long naps (everyone says I snore in my sleep!). While I can get a bit intense when I’m really into a game, I love as hard as I play and reward people I like with little nibbles here and there. Like all my siblings, I’m happy around kids, adults and other dogs, but don’t have much experience around cats. Help me find a forever home!

Buddy – ADOPTED!

If you’re looking for a sweet and fun loving dog, look no further! I’m your pup! My name is Buddy and I’m a hound/lab mix I can’t want to find my new forever home. My last owners moved and left my friend and I tied up in the backyard. Animal Control took my friend but the nice neighbors next door asked if they could try to find a home for me. My life hasn’t been easy – I’m a little over three years old and I’ve spent all of that time tied up outside. It’s been very hard for me to trust my friends who have been watching over me because my old owners weren’t kind to me most of the time. I’m very skinny but I’ve been getting lots of good food the last few days. I’m also skittish but once I see that you’ll love me and treat me kindly, I’m all about playing fetch and giving kisses! I’ve started to cuddle with my new friends and I just know I’d love to live in a nice warm house with a wonderful new family. I haven’t been aggressive or unkind, just very hesitant (especially around men). Since I have been left to fend for myself, I would rather have my family to myself. I love to be active, but I like cuddling as well, and I am low heart worm positive, but I’m being treated for that. If you think that you can gently show me the love and kindness I need and deserve, I’d love to meet you!
